The Zcash dev team identified the changes to be made to the blockchain in 2018 and published a roadmap.
Zcash co-founder Zooko Wilcox and CTO Nathan Wilcox published a detailed roadmap of the two major updates pending for Zcash. The second of the updates, dubbed “Overwinter” and “Sapling“, was originally described in a superficial way earlier this year.. In a new blog post published last week, it was stated that next year’s updates will “improve the performance, security and usability of Zcash.”
