Propy Launches Real Estate Pilot Program Using Blockchain

Palo Alto, real estate in South Burlington, Vermont announced the launch of a pilot program that uses Blockchain technology to record documents. The development in question has been named “Blockchain friendly state”.

Vermont Agency for Commercial and Community Development‘s development secretary Michael Schirling stated in their press release that the pilot project is as follows: said:

Vermont has a track record of innovation in commerce, insurance and financial technology. We are fortunate to have a highly legal framework that enables the use of Blockchain technology. We will continue to work with legislatures to ensure that Vermont stays at the forefront of these innovations.”

2015 Vermont had passed a law on economic development that included a section on Blockchain technology. The law mandated that a report be put forward on possible uses of Blockchain for government, such as verifying government records and using smart contracts.
