A man from the UK tried to purchase a Bitcoin Miner from Amazon last year, but was replaced by a DVD copy of the animated movie The Boss Baby.
According to local media reports, including The Herald, Ichim Bogdan Cezar of Plymouth has purchased the Bitmain AntMiner S9 for approximately $5,000. But instead of Bitcoin Miner hardware in the mail, he found a copy of the 2017 animated movie “Boss Baby.” Although a report was sent, The Herald did not receive a refund until January. He said there was a case, then continued:
“Obviously it’s great that they’re going to issue a refund for me, but it shouldn’t take that long to get a refund, especially when it comes to such a large sum of money”.
Amazon returned the full amount of the machine in late January, with several customers reporting similar incidents with Cezar. Minifigures Direct Ltd’s page on Amazon is full of complaints because it bought a Sharpie pen and Scotch tape instead of the machines it bought.
However, the company doesn’t seem to have any products for sale as of press time.
