Malta may soon become a vacation paradise for people with Bitcoin. A new travel agency has been established in the country called Bitcoin Adventures, serving only people who have Bitcoin.
The company only accepts Bitcoin and registers customers who only want to Pay in Bitcoin .
Bitcoin Adventures started as part of a promotional effort to increase awareness and acceptance of Bitcoin in Malta. Leon Siegmund, founder of Bitcoin Adventures, said, “Bitcoin is a better coin. Because there is no central bank, no inflation and no transaction fees. It only takes two people and a smartphone to send money.”
Siegmund continues, saying:
“We’re trying to break the status quo here. You can take part in an incredible adventure vacation in Gozo and pay with Bitcoin.”

Japanese engineer Takesho Koide and his wife became the first customer of the company. This also means they are the first Bitcoin tourists. The couple made all their payments in Bitcoin and stayed in Gozo for three days.. Saying that Bitcoin is valid at many points in Japan, Koide stated that he hopes this trend will continue by saying, “If this method is also valid for my future trips, I will use it as much as possible.”
